Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website can place on your device when you visit it. They're used for a range of purposes, such as remembering your preferences, keeping you signed in, or helping a site's owner understand how it's used.
2. Cookies we use
This website does not set any strictly necessary cookies. We use Plausible Analytics to understand overall visitor numbers and which pages are popular — but Plausible is a privacy-focused tool that sets no cookies and no other client-side storage, doesn't track you across other websites, and doesn't collect anything that identifies you personally. It only records aggregated, anonymised statistics, such as page views, the site that referred you here, your approximate country (derived from your IP address, which is never stored), and your device type.
Because Plausible sets no cookies, UK cookie law (PECR) doesn't strictly require us to ask your consent before using it. We still ask through the banner on this site, for transparency and so you have the choice — if you choose “Necessary only”, Plausible won't run and no analytics data about your visit will be recorded.
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| None — this site sets no cookies, including for analytics (see above). This table will be updated if that ever changes. | |||
3. The cookie banner on this site
When you first visit this website, you'll see a short banner asking whether you're happy for Plausible analytics to run, or whether you'd rather we stuck to the essentials only. Your choice is stored on your own device (not shared with us) so we don't ask again on future visits, and you can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of this site.
4. Managing cookies in your browser
Separately from our cookie banner, you can control or delete cookies through your own browser settings at any time. Most browsers let you see what cookies you have and delete them individually, block cookies from particular sites, or block all cookies. Blocking all cookies may affect how some websites function. Your browser's help pages will explain how — for example, by searching “cookie settings” along with your browser's name.
